Garage Fleet and Farm Mechanic


About the Role

 

We’re looking for a skilled, reliable Mechanic to join our team and support the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a diverse fleet — including automobiles, trucks, tractors, RTVs, and specialized farm equipment such as Bauer irrigation reels. The ideal candidate brings strong diagnostic ability, hands-on expertise, and a commitment to safe, high‑quality workmanship.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and computer‑based issues across a wide range of vehicles and machinery.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning components to restore safe, reliable operation.
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
  • Work on-site or off-site as needed, including occasional after‑hours on‑call support.
  • Follow all company, safety, and environmental standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing engines, brakes, transmissions, electrical systems, and onboard computer systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to stay current with evolving technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining repairs and setting clear expectations.
  • High attention to detail, strong organization, and consistent safety awareness.
  • Experience with farm machinery and vehicles, including tractors, RTVs, and irrigation reels
  • Deep understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, gas, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
  • Welding and fabrication experience required.
  • CDL preferred

  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy components; comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
  • Meticulous recordkeeping and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
