Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a wide range of vehicles and equipment — including automobiles, trucks, tractors, RTVs, and farm machinery such as Bauer irrigation reels. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic abilities, technical aptitude, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing engines, brakes, transmissions, electrical, and computer systems.
- Strong technical aptitude and a desire to stay current with evolving vehicle and equipment technologies.
- Effective communication skills to explain repairs and provide excellent internal customer service, setting realistic expectations.
- High attention to detail, organization, and safety awareness.
- Expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling farm machinery and vehicles (autos, trucks, tractors, RTVs, irrigation reels, etc.).
- Deep understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, gas, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, welding equipment, diagnostic devices, and the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Welding and fabrication experience required.
- Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred or required (as applicable).
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, or replace damaged or malfunctioning parts to restore proper operation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work meets safety and performance standards.
- Work on-site or off-site as needed and be available on-call after hours when necessary.
- Adhere to company, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
