Who We Are:

The Wm. A. Natorp Company is a family owned and operated company that has been growing annuals, perennials, shrubs, roses, and trees for Greater Cincinnati landscapers, nurseries, garden stores, parks, and municipalities for 104 years. We have over 150 acres under production that require the best of care, so we're looking for people who are interested in being a part of our team.

What We Do:

We grow plants – lots of them.  Here is a summary of just some of the tasks we perform here at the Nursery:

Loading and unloading plants and related materials from trucks and wagons and placing them in huts, greenhouses, or on the ground

Assembly line planting in the greenhouse and/or perennial potting operations

Caring for nursery stock which includes tasks such as weeding, hoeing, harvesting, burlapping, pruning, trimming and occasional watering 

Order pulling - Assembling and preparing orders for shipping: Cleaning plants and attaching labels, loading them on carts and wagons

Moving nursery stock and materials seasonally

Operation of hand tools such as pruners and trimmers

It is important to know that the work at our Nursery is different than what you'd find in a garden store setting. We are a production nursery growing millions of plants annually. The work is intensive and repetitive. 

Things to Know:

Three months of experience at a nursery or with another green industry company or a plant farm is required. 

Physical requirements include crouching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching above and below shoulder height and climbing into and out of trucks on a repetitive basis. Much of our work is done outside in all types of weather.

Weights vary from 5 to 100 lbs. + (large plants)

Pesticide license a plus!

This crew generally works Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 4:00. Some mandatory overtime may occur during the busy seasons. 

Seasonal, evening, or strictly weekend work is not available for this job. If your interest is in seasonal work or part-time hours, please check our website, www.natorp.com, for the availability of part-time work at our Natorp's Nursery Outlet each spring or fall. 

You must be at least 18 years old to work at our Nursery.

The starting wage for this job is $15.31 per hour.
